When you receive an Invoice that contains a Pay Now button, you have a couple of different payment options once you click the Pay Now link:
- Login: If you already have a Wise-Pay Payer account, you are able to Login and have the choice to pay the invoice via credit card or bank debit, and, depending on the Merchant's setting, you can choose whether to make the payment in real time or schedule it for a later date. If you have payment methods saved in Wise-Pay, these will be displayed to you.
- Continue as Guest: If you don't yet have a Wise-Pay Payer account, you can simply Continue as guest. With this option, you are only able to pay via credit card in real-time.
- Register: If you don't yet have a Wise-Pay Payer account, you can now choose to Register during the payment process to access Bank Debit payments, and the ability to schedule a payment for a later date. See Wise-Pay for Payers: Overview for more information on what it means to be a Wise-Pay Payer.
- Click on the Pay Now button in the invoice.
- Click Login and enter your Wise-Pay username and password.
If 2FA is enabled for the Merchant you are paying, you will also be required to enter in a 2FA code. See FAQ: Two Factor Authentication for Payer Accounts for more information. Please note that you are currently not able to setup a 2FA authenticator app in the new payment flow. You need to follow the instructions to set this up via the Wise-Pay Portal. - The Invoice Details will be displayed.
- If AVS is required for the Merchant and you have not previously been required to enter your details, you need to add these in the My Details section then click Save.
- If you have saved payment methods in Wise-Pay, these will be displayed.
Either select a saved payment method or choose a new payment method.
- Click + Add to enter a new payment method.
- Select either Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Bank Debit.
The credit card surcharges will be visible when you hover over the accepted card types. - Enter your credit card details.
- If AVS is required, you need to add the payment card's billing details. Click Edit billing address. Click Save Address.
- Click Save Card.
- Confirm the amount you wish to pay.
- If the Merchant allows payments to be scheduled, you can optionally click Schedule and select a date you wish the payment to be taken on.
- If you want to make a real-time payment simply click Pay Now.
Please Note: Bank Debit payments will be processed as soon as practicable, sometimes this will be the following business day. - Click Pay Now.
- You now have the option to download the invoice and surcharge invoice.
- Click on the Pay Now button in the invoice.
- The Invoice Details will be displayed.
- If AVS is required for the Merchant, you need to add your details in the My Details section then click Save.
- Enter your credit card details.
Please Note: Bank Debit is only available for registered Payers. Refer to the Register tab for more information on what it means to have a free Wise-Pay Payer account. - The credit card surcharges will be visible when you hover over the accepted card types.
- If AVS is required, you need to add the payment card's billing details. Click Edit billing address. Click Save Address.
- Click Save Card.
- Confirm the amount you wish to pay.
Please Note: Scheduling payments is only available to registered Payers. Refer to the Register tab for more information on what it means to have a free Wise-Pay Payer account. - Click Pay Now.
- You now have the option to download the invoice and surcharge invoice.
- You also have the option to register as a Wise-Pay Payer to pay your future invoices faster. Refer to the Register tab for more information on what it means to have a free Wise-Pay Payer account.
When you register as a Wise-Pay Payer, you have the option to pay your invoices via bank debit and have the ability to schedule a payment for a future date. Paying by bank debit avoids that pesky credit card surcharge, it's fee free! And so is having a Wise-Pay Payer account.
Registering also allows you to:
- Save payment details to your account so you don't need to re-enter them each time you pay an Invoice.
- View all of your outstanding invoices in the one place.
- Save time and pay multiple outstanding invoices in bulk.
- View and download copies of all of your invoices, paid or unpaid.
- Set up Automatic Payments so the Merchant is able to debit your account on the invoice due date.
- Configure event notifications so you can be emailed when payments are processed etc.
- Within the Wise-Pay Portal, you can even pay your outstanding invoices in a couple of clicks.
- If you pay multiple Merchants, all of your invoices can be viewed in the one place.
To register as a Wise-Pay Payer, all you need to do is:
- Click on any of the Register buttons inside of the invoice payment process.
- Verify your email address to ensure you don't already have an existing Payer account.
- Once your email address is verified, complete the My Details section and click save.
- Enter in your Payment Details and click save.
- Accept the Terms that are displayed.
- Finalise your payment.
- Once the payment has been made, click on the Complete Setup button inside the Congratulations widget.
- Create your new Wise-Pay login password and click Save.
- Confirm your Contact Details and click Register.
- You will then receive a Welcome Email from us confirming your username and the url to the Wise-Pay Portal.
- Note: Your Merchant will also receive a notification when you Register through the Pay Now flow.
