Configure Wise-Pay Event Notifications

Merchant Administrators are able to configure Event Notifications. There are two parts to the configuration - enabling the event notification and subscribing users to them.

How do I get there?

To configure Event Notifications, click Configure from the top menu and select Event Notifications.

What do I do?

Enable the Event Notification

Click the event you wish to enable notifications for, then select who should receive notifications for the event - Merchant Admins and/or Payers.

Configure Event Notification settings

Event Notification settings are configured independently for both Merchant Admin and Payers. The reason behind this is that the settings and content of notification sent to payers could be different that of internal staff (i.e those administering Wise-Pay).

To configure the settings, click the pencil icon for either Merchant Admin or Payers.

Notification Placeholders

Placeholders are inserted into an Event Notification's content to automatically populate information relevant to what you are trying to communicate. Check out FAQ: What are notification Placeholders? for more information.

Preview Source

Wise-Pay will provide a preview of event notification based on an object that exists in the system in order to populate placeholders, providing a contextual preview. Example:

  • If you wish to preview a notification for an email notification sent when a payment is successful, Wise-Pay will require you to select an invoice that has been processed in Wise-Pay.
  • If you wish to preview a notification for a Credit Card Expiry, Wise-Pay will ask you to select a Payer that exists in Wise-Pay.

Once the preview source is selected, the preview will be displayed.
