Wise-Pay Integration - ConnectWise Customer Portal

Directly from the ConnectWise Customer Portal, your customers will be able to easily click a Pay Now with Wise-Pay button from an oustanding invoice, so that a secure online payment can be made, without your customers needing to sign into Wise-Pay!

Using the old ConnectWise Customer Portal?

These steps detail how to configure the new ConnectWise Customer Portal. For steps on how to configure the ConnectWise (Legacy) Customer Portal, see ConnectWise (Legacy) Customer Portal.

How do I activate the integration?

Wise-Pay Merchant Configuration

An API Key needs to be generated in Wise-Pay in your Merchant Account. Once generated, the API Key will be used to link your Wise-Pay account in the ConnectWise Customer Portal.

  1. Go to Configure, then Merchants. Select the Merchant that you want to activate the integration for.
  2. Go to the PayNow tab.
  3. Drop down and choose to create a link for the ConnectWise Customer Portal.
  4. Click Generate. The link will be displayed in your list of links.
  5. Click to Display the ConnectWise Customer Portal API Key generated for your Merchant.
  6. Copy and paste the API Key into your ConnectWise Customer Portal configuration.

Link your Wise-Pay Merchant Account's API Key (generated in the steps above), in your ConnectWise Customer Portal.

ConnectWise Portal Permissions

Only an admin of the ConnectWise Customer Portal can perform these steps.

  1. Go to Admin (click on the cog icon), then Payment.
  2. Click Link Account in the Wise-Pay tile.
  3. Copy the API Key generated in Wise-Pay and paste it into the Wise-Pay API Key field.
  4. Click Save.

How do my customers use it?

ConnectWise Portal Permissions

Set your customers up as users in the portal. They must have at least Billing Admin permissions set, otherwise, they will not be able to view and pay for outstanding invoices.

  1. From the home page, go to View an Invoice, then click to select an invoice to pay.
  2. Inside the invoice, click Pay Now with Wise-Pay. From there, your customer will be navigated to the Wise-Pay portal, to be able to make a secure payment.
  3. Follow the wizard to make the payment.

The payment will be applied and reflected in both ConnectWise your Accounting Package.
