FAQ: What are notification Placeholders?

Placeholders are inserted into the content of an Event Notification to automatically populate information relevant to what you are trying to communicate.

For example, if the notification was to communicate a payment that was processed successfully, adding a placeholder to display the invoice number and the amount that was paid would be helpful to the recipient.

How do I use them?

Configure Event Notifications

Merchant Administrators are able to configure content of Event Notifiations. Check out Configure Wise-Pay Event Notifications about how to navigate and configure Event Notifications.

Click the position you wish to display the placeholder, then choose the placeholder you want to display from the list. If you know the Placeholder name, type it in as {{PlaceholderName}}.

What do they look like?

Preview the notification to see what the placeholder looks like once rendered.
